TYH nation presents an acapella version of the moving song, “A Yiddishe Heart”.

This song reminds us that each and every Jew is special because we have a “Chelek Eloka,” a piece of Hashem within us. Our bodies may be purely physical, but it is our holy Neshama that imbues us with a higher purpose of living. Our Neshamos, ultimately, give us unlimited potential to accomplish a Kirvas Elokim, a closeness to Hashem, even while living down here in the physical world. We daven that one day, very soon, that closeness will be magnified through the ultimate redemption.

Ani Maamin is more than just words its a tapestry woven with threads of history, faith, and the indomitable jewish spirit. It serves as a powerful reminder of the strength and resilience of Jewish faith through the ages.

This version of Ani Maamin is referred to as the “haunting melody” or the “Holocaust Ani Maamin” composed by a Modzitzer chodud on a cattle cart to Treblinka. The story goes that the song started out quiet and tentative and then through singing it over and over again it picked up strength giving the singers so much inner strength and resolve. Jews from all over the world sing this particular tune for the past eighty years and its haunting beautiful melody continues to give us so much hope.

The Jewish nation as a unit is constantly searching for a higher goal. After all, our purpose in this world is about seeking a higher connection with Hakadosh Baruch Hu through our Avodah. At times, the path towards a higher spiritual living seems scattered with obstacles, leaving a Yid feeling dejected or unhopeful. The Ba’al Shem Tov stated, “Any Yid who wants to accomplish a goal succeeds. A Jew only fails when he does not try to accomplish his goal.” The moment a Yid desires a mode of higher living, he can achieve it. Where there is a will, there is a way. More than just a motivational phrase, the willpower itself manifests into a positive energy which creates Malachim who pave a Yid’s way towards achieving his goals. A Jewish woman’s desire is so uniquely powerful, that by simply contemplating over her longing for the Geulah, she can bring the redemption closer.

The redemption was brought through their Zechusim and unwavering Emunah. When the Geulah arrived, they celebrated joyously with musical instruments and dancing. So too, the final Geulah, our Geulah, will happen through the Nashim Tzidkaniyos who are preparing for the Geulah through Tefillos, yearning, and singing along with the Voices of Geulah.

We all have a bag – a weight that we carry,

and what’s within each bag is

often times only known to us and hidden from the world.

Let’s face it.

Every one of us goes through challenges.

We’re all fighting battles, whether it’s a challenge that people know about or a struggle that we keep to ourselves. Some are big challenges. Some are smaller. But they are all valid.

And sometimes…it may feel like it’s enough to knock us to our knees.

Sometimes it feels like it’s just too much to hold.

But that baggage isn’t ours to carry alone.

When it seems like our load is too heavy when the pain is so complete, we know that we can call on Hashem to carry our struggles; to lift the weight from our shoulders.

And ultimately…

It is our belief and trust in Hashem that sets us free….
