YOELI: You know I heard from Rav Moshe Wolfson zt’l, that when Yerushalayim was recaptured after the Six-Day War in 1967, the mayor of Yerushalayim didn’t listen to some people who wanted to fix the war damage and make the roads of the Old City wide and spacious. He kept them narrow and winding, the way they always were. But he didn’t know that that’s how it must be. Yerushalayim is the heart of the whole world. And just like the vessels and arteries that flow in the heart are twisty and narrow, the streets of Yerushalayim must be tangly and narrow!
YOSSI: Also like a heart pumps life to the rest of the body, Yerushalayim pumps life to the rest of the world!
YOELI: Ki miTzion teitzei Torah! Torah flows from Yerushalayim! You know Yos, we should go visit some Yeshivos here – the heartbeat of the heart of the world!
