Juggling, juggling
Balls in the sky
Keeping your eyes on each one
As higher they fly.
Both slow and fast they come
One ball, another
Your hands catch and throw…
The life of a mother!
Each ball is pivotal
A child, spouse or parent’s needs
Laundry, shopping, cooking…
A listening ear… planting a seed!
Preparing for Matan Torah
While juggling all those balls
Seems an impossible task
Amidst the noise of “needs” calls.
Yet, if we manage to be gracious
To fill those needs with equanimity
To modulate our tones
To talk to each one pleasantly…
If we accidentally drop a ball
But don’t let it make a drop in our mood
We show how our preparation can be
Maintaining a positive attitude!!
Yes, Hashem gives each person
Unique “balls” in her journey through life
Brachos and challenges flying together
Camaraderie peppered with strife…
Hashem has also gifted us
With a singular path to serving Him…
Keeping a positive attitude
While holding up our chin.
Each ball is unique
Each juggler is too
Yet every ball is matched to its juggler
