Something unique about Pesach is that it is our job to relive the miracles that happened to our ancestors, envisioning ourselves as if we are leaving Mitzrayim.
Although we aren’t experiencing physical slavery today, we can relate to the feeling of meitzar, an inner constriction that makes us feel that we can’t break out of our own limitations. Our tzadikim teach us that on Pesach we are given the spiritual energy to break free of our own constraints, breaking through perceived barriers to reach levels of Emunah we may have thought we’d never get to.
In these pages you’ll find chizuk and guidance from Yidden who understand these constraints, and share tools we can use to make this Pesach a time to get out of our Mitzrayim and fill up on Emunah for the year.
The road to Geulah starts when we remember that even in the most turbulent waters, Hashem is right here with us, guiding us with love and compassion. This is the message of our cover art, and the passuk there gives us this strength — When you pass through the waters, I am with you (Yeshayahu 43:2). The same Hashem who split the sea for our ancestors, guides us through the most turbulent times and challenges. I am Hashem, I have not changed (Malachi).
We didn’t just survive Mitzrayim. Mitzrayim, with all its horrors, made us who we are as a nation. No matter what life throws at us, on Pesach we remember that these challenges are from Hashem, Hashem is here helping us through them, and that when we come out the other side we will have become the strong and holy people we were always destined to become.
