The Kedushas Levi says that the reason why there are chukim, mitzvos we don’t understand the reason behind them, is so that we should know that the real reason why we do mitzvos is because Hashem wants us to do mitzvos, and we want to do the will of Hashem. This is true even for mitzvos where we do understand their reasoning. But by giving us some mitzvos that we do not understand, Hashem was making it clear that even though we understand some of the mitzvos, we should ultimately do them because Hashem wants us to do them.
The sefer Ha’kesav V’hakabala says an amazing thing, that if the well of Miriam would have been flowing water the whole time, this would have made lots of mud all over. The way it worked, instead, was like a mouth. When water was needed, it opened its mouth and poured. This is why it is called “pi habeer.”
When Aharon Hakohein was niftar, the Torah doesn’t record that he was buried as it does when talking about Miriam. The Sifsei Kohein says that he wasn’t buried. The cave simply closed its door, and his body stayed on the bed!
The Maseches Kallah Rabosi records that at Aharon’s levaya, there were eighty thousand bachurim with the name Aharon! Since Aharon was always making peace between people, and if a couple were fighting and wanted to get divorced, Aharon would come into the picture and save the day, and the son that was later born, they would call Aharon!
