וַיְצַו משֶׁה וַיַּעֲבִירוּ קוֹל בַּמַּחֲנֶה לֵאמֹר אִישׁ וְאִשָּׁה אַל יַעֲשׂוּ עוֹד מְלָאכָה לִתְרוּמַת הַקֹּדֶשׁ
The passuk says that Moshe Rabbeinu said to call out that no one should bring anymore donations for the mishkan, since enough has come in already.
Why was it so important to call this out to all Yidden? What would have been so bad to get some extras?
Explained the Chidushei Harim: that if there would’ve been extras, some Yidden may have had a bad feeling, “Oh, probably my donation didn’t even make it into the mishkan.” Moshe Rabbeinu didn’t want any Yid to have bad feelings. This is why he made sure to stop the donations once there was enough!
